The value of asset data is maximized by direct integration into Financial, GIS and Maintenance tools. Quality asset inventory data is probably one of the most important data repositories for utilities. It helps with rate setting, maintenance planning and short and long term capital planning. Without it we are reliant on tacit knowledge which in itself is good, but combined with hard data, becomes the best possible solution.

Financial information such as original historic value and depreciation will often lie in a financial system, while location and current operational knowledge, such as the remaining useful life in the asset, lies with operational staff and other information systems. As our industry moves into a performance-based rates environment, Asset Management becomes more critical to an organization's success. Quadra tracks all elements of your assets in a flexible architecture that maximizes the reporting capabilities of the system and easily integrates into our GIS systems. Quadra allows you to track all maintenance logs, create preventative maintenance and capital plans, calculate historical asset values based upon a variety of published indices and perform depreciation calculations using four different depreciation methods. Quadra is a true fixed asset system fully capable of recording all assets, networks, value, attributes and history. It is fully PSAB and IFRS compliant and capable of running standalone or integrating into Work Order and General Ledger Systems.
